Description

Located on the edge of Cockle Bay with water lapping at your door.

Fishing, crabbing, peace and quiet! What more could anyone want when enjoying an island getaway. "Blue on Cockle" is perched on a rocky edge of peaceful Cockle Bay.

Water views from every vantage point of this unique beach hut. Also included is a deck with sunset views to die for while cooking the daily catch on the barbie.

If the tide isn't right enjoy air-conditioned comfort inside and wait for the tide to turn! Turn on the TV, read a book or rest up for a late night of fishing!

Blue on Cockle has all you will need for your getaway, just bring your food, drinks, fishing rods and bait.

Note: Access to the property can be more difficult on a high tide. Our Best of Magnetic team will be able to provide tide information to help plan your arrival time.

RATES
Standard - Minimum stay 3 nights
$325 per night for 6 guests, $15 per extra guest (8 guests = $355 per night)

School Holidays - Minimum stay 5 nights
$375 per night for 6 guests, $15 per extra guest (8 guests = $405 per night)

The most amazing holiday stay we've had. We loved everything about this place we stayed for an extra night and still didn't want to leave. The privacy and serenity is priceless. This place had everything we wanted and more. We cannot wait to come back in July!

If you are after a completely unique experience, look no further. Tidal movements create interesting views as the tide goes out and you can walk to the wreck of the SS City of Adelaide. Shipwrecked at Cockle Bay in 1862. When the tide comes in, enjoy the feeling of being on a boat. With schools of fish swimming where the steps used to be at low tide, rock wallabies, and sea ospreys, there is plenty nature has to offer while you relax on your private beach. Don't expect too much from the interior, with only one toilet, and a tired kitchen. But if you imagine this as glamping, your good to go.

Just spent a long weekend here with some family and friends. A truly gorgeous position which is close to unbeatable. So relaxing just fishing off the deck or enjoying a quiet drink watching the sun set. Sit back and enjoy the views of mainland Townsville in one of the most picturesque places in Australia

We couldn't be more happy with Blue on Cockle. The house is in the best position, you have waterviews from everywhere! Don't even have to leave the house to go fishing as you can fish right off the deck! The house was clean & tidy & everything we needed was there. We can't wait to come back again! Plus the staff at Best of Magnetic were awesome! Very friendly & welcoming! 10 out of 10 all round :-)
