Perfect in every way to spend our 10 year wedding anniversary and belated honeymoon. Recommended to any couple looking for some time to relax and enjoy the Island experiences.

The location is simply beautiful and very private. Definitely accommodates only two people, and caters for outdoor living. This is great but be prepared for mosquitoes so use a personal repellent or one of the coils provided which, if youre eating, not so good! Very short walk to shops, restaurants and cafes and we took our morning coffee directly over the road, about 30 metres, to the beachfront and enjoyed the peaceful sunrise, no one to be seen! If youre looking for peace and serenity, this place gives you that. It would be nice though, to have a coffee machine to enjoy. Gave the comfort rating 4 stars as we found the lounges too low to sit and get up out of, the same with the outdoor front setting which was uncomfortable after a short while, but, that is personal I guess. The pool is private, but is not heated, so even on a day of high humidity and high 20s temperatures the water was freezing. Would definitely come again due to only accomodating a couple so youre not paying for bedrooms and space you dont use. We enjoyed every day on the island, Plenty to do, or nothing...

We stayed 1 week at Essence and enjoyed every moment. The privacy and peace was exactly what we needed and we were please to fine this property luxuriously appointed. A private pool was ideal and we used it extensively. The only thing that would have made it a better experience is a coffee machine. Cafes and restaurants are a short walk away with enough choice that if you wanted to stay in Horseshoe Bay you could. We booked a rental car just before arriving and were very pleased we did. It made exploring the island so much easier. When we return to Magnetic Island there isnt anywhere else we will stay. The staff at Best of Magnetic were great.
