"Sunbird Retreat" as the name suggests, birdlife will entertain you while you enjoy your surrounds. The front deck area will make the rest of the world seem so far away. A perfect space to enjoy a quiet moment, a great book or time with family and friends.
This 4 bedroom home has been designed to allow space for everyone to enjoy. There is an opportunity to book "Sunbird Retreat" as a one bedroom home. A perfect retreat for a couple to enjoy the privacy and space a home can offer instead of the need to be in a small apartment.
The master bedroom features a queen bed and ensuite. The 2nd bedroom also a queen bed. The 3rd and 4th bedroom each have a king single bed and there is a 2nd bathroom. The open plan living, dining and front deck space offers enough room for everyone to enjoy. The front deck is furnished comfortably and includes a BBQ.
This home is fully self contained and offers the best of both worlds for a visit to Magnetic Island. You will feel like you are part of the National Park with the fringing granite boulders, native plants, wildlife and birds and yet a 5 minute stroll down the street and over a small bridge and you will be part of the Horseshoe Bay beachfront with access to local shops, eateries and amazing sunsets.

RoderickMcivor - 30th NovemberThe Sunbird Retreat is a wonderful location for seeing a range of Magnetic Island wildlife. Troops of tiny wallabies make their way through the site in a never-ending parade. If you are lucky (as we were) a koala may trigger the sensor light on his way through to his next tree. And you're sure to see a sunbird. All this within very close proximity to the restaurant strip and beach at Horseshoe Bay. And if you want a party, Bungalow Bay Backpackers is just around the corner. A wonderful setup with careful thought from the owners ensuring you have the best time. Love to return, wish we'd never left.
A well equipped, comfy rainforest cottage

Perfect for our stay
Andrew - 30th NovemberPerfect for an adult family holiday. In the woods but only a 7 minutes walk from the facilities of Horseshoe Bay. Nice rooms, good showers, well equipped kitchen, lovely seating area inside and out. 3 mins walk to bus stop for trip to Nelly Bay and ferry. We spent 5 days with no car and enjoyed it. Lots of wildlife to see. No wifi but that has pluses and minuses! I would recommend it to my friends.
