Take either the Sealink or Magnetic Island Ferries from Townsville’s Breakwater Ferry Terminal to the Nelly Bay Ferry Terminal or Magnetic Island, (every 25 minutes). Upon arrival, take the 250 bus line from Kelly Street at Warboys Street to Granite Street at Picnic Street, (every hour) Alternatively you can take a car hire and drive to Picnic Bay, amenities, tourist attractions and Picnic Bay accommodation yourself.

Unfortunately there are no caves located at Picnic Bay, however, there are plenty of rock formations and crevices to explore north of Magnetic Island. Take a day trip to Horseshoe Bay and enjoy its many bushwalks. Here, you can explore “The Labyrinth”. Like it’s name, this stunning network of caves and passages that take on a whole new meaning of 3-dimensional exploration.
